So a few months ago I really wanted to do an action piece knowing that I wanted to use the glidecam, slider and use some 60fps stuff. I talked with Forrest about doing this and with the help of Blaine and Bailey we had some fun shooting this piece.
I’m sure you video scholars will notice the seeming grain look. It is intentional from a tutorial posted by Casey Warren from mindcastleblog.com/blog/2010/4/29/qa-01-film-grain.html about using film grain in your work. I wanted to give it a try.
I will add that shooting with mixed lighting is hard and with the harsh fluorescents it cause interference lines on some of the cuts. I found that the best fix has to do with shutter speed, so if you ever see this on any of your work, know that its the lighting and adjust your shutter speed might help.
